If you own an offline business, you'll know the problems of attracting new clients. If you have an internet based business, you need to use internet marketing techniques to attract traffic. Without active marketing you'll never attract targeted traffic to your website and nowadays both offline and online businesses are using internet marketing to find new customers. Facebook for marketing business is just one such internet marketing technique but are you using it?
Your website needs to be attractive and contain interesting articles which are relevant to whatever you're selling. If you use article marketing, you'll need to be consistently submitting relevant and informative articles to the best article directories and if you like forum marketing, you'll need to be posting useful bits and pieces and joining in with what's going on in your niche.
All these methods take a fair bit of time and effort, but they are free. However, your marketing efforts can be a lot less time consuming and that's where Facebook for marketing business comes in.
Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites and has millions of members from all age groups and walks of life so you have a huge audience which you can target with your offers. There are a couple of ways of doing this.
Firstly, you can use Facebook ads but you will have to pay for these. Nonetheless, they are highly targetable because you can select country, age range, gender, marital status and a whole lot more so if you're selling baby clothes, for example, you can choose women in a certain age range.
The second method with which you can use Facebook for marketing business is completely free. You just create a business page or indeed several different ones and you can invite people with appropriate interests to be friends and visit. Alternatively you can create a group and invite people to join. Post updates and invite more people to be friends.
If you're going to use the second method though, don't hit your newfound friends with your offer straight away; give them some useful information first and interact like you would with your real world friends. You need people to trust you and trust your judgement so chat away on your chosen subject and you will soon be considered an expert.
